The Great Escape Debuts Buccaneer Beach at Splashwater Kingdom and is ready for summer fun! My savvy ladies and I took a road trip last week to attend the Grand Opening event for Buccaneer Beach in Six Flags Great Escape.

Buccaneer Beach will offer pint-sized pirates fun ways to explore and cool off. I had not been to the Great Escape Lake George area since I was a teenager so I was happy to introduce my girls to this part of New York State.

All of the Great Escape characters were ready to play and celebrate the ribbon cutting event. The restoration and transformation of Noah’s Sprayground, the most popular children’s area in Splashwater Kingdom, will offer children and young families a brand new place to cool off on hot summer days.

Arrgh! My little savvy discovered a band of pirates that she was ready to join.

The cold breeze did not stop us from having outdoor waterpark fun! My girls were ready to start the season with a ride down the slide.

The refreshed and re-themed pirate adventure will feature pop jets, splash pads, children’s slides and water elements offering endless water park fun.

The expansion to the upper water park will include new pool deck space and increased shaded water park seating.

Season Passes are on sale now for as low as $59.99 and when you buy four or more you receive free parking at The Great Escape.

At the end of the celebration, festive pirate treats were served for all ages.

After a fun-filled day celebrating the opening of Buccaneer Beach, we headed back to Great Escape Lodge for some indoor waterpark fun! Stay tuned for more info. We can’t wait to head back up to northern NY this summer to check out all of the waterpark and the Great Escape rides!
